Salud. It is a common word used when about to drink alcohol. The word represents a wish for good vibes and enjoyment.

As I payed for my melon-lemon coldpressed drink at the cashier, next to me, a guy who was also enjoying a healthy drink said to me “salud”. It felt nice and weird. At a bar no one has ever told me that with so much meaning. I was at the healthy bar at 3pm. I guess I am not familiar with the term when drinking not alcoholic drinks, except for my four year old niece who uses the word when she is served water(even when adults around her are drinking coffee).
Truth of the matter is, I was drinking “salud” which in Spanish means health but the equivalent of “cheers” in English when someone wishes you it.

The color, the taste and the moment. Salud.
